Digital marketing will play a major role in my future career because marketing today is no longer separated into “traditional” and “digital.” If there’s one thing we studied was the importance of IMC campaign strategies and how every communication effort depends on digital channels to stay relevant, competitive, and visible. In this sense, learning digital marketing is not just an advantage but a necessity.
Although the experience of building a full website from scratch was extremely enriching, it helped me realize that web development is not the area I want to specialize in. However, two topics we explored in class in areas I genuinely want to pursue are AI marketing and influencer marketing.
AI-driven tools, automation, and personalized content are transforming how marketers optimize campaigns and understand consumers. On the other hand, influencer marketing aligns strongly with social trends, community building, and authentic brand engagement, a space where creativity and strategic thinking matter more than technical coding.
Digital marketing will continue expanding, and being confident in these areas not only strengthens my career path but keeps me adaptable in a rapidly evolving industry.
